The recent immigration ban and subsequent amendment to the ban has caused a stir among the domestic and international communities. And it should. It’s alarming that our Government, built on tax paying constituents, would disrupt the very people that want to come here to build a better life. The fact that so many people find refuge in America isn’t something that we should be alarmed by. Instead, we should be celebrating that so many people seek to come to America in hopes of making a better life for themselves and in turn, positively choose to contribute to our nation’s Gross Domestic Product (simply defined as the total value of goods produced and services provided in a country during one year).
It means that people choose to leave their country to take part in the American economy. An economy that is built on consumption and production. If anyone is afraid that these people are harmful to our nation, then we urge you to examine what makes a nation strong and continue to keep its world power. The nation that has the highest GDP is the nation that continues to keep its world power. If you feel threatened by these new immigrants, we urge you to instead look toward unconditional love and realize that collaboration vs. competition is much more powerful than hate, jealousy and fear.
Somehow, this great nation we call America became divided and that’s okay because in order to create change, sometimes we need to fall apart a bit. But in that falling apart, let’s get back up and become stronger and realize that the more people that vibe with our freedom driven economic policy, the stronger we will be and the more force we have to fight countries that do not believe in human freedom and dignity.
The time is now to work on yourself, get deep and realize that the human potential can destroy others and take away opportunities or you can rise above and be the light. Choose the light. The world has never needed your light more.
"They are children first and foremost and deserve the same care and protection that we give to all children."
No matter your stance on immigration, all children deserve food, clothing and a home. KIND (Kids in Need of Defense) works to protect children who enter the United States alone by giving them proper representation in court.
The "First 100 Ways" campaign is encouraging people to be the change they wish to see. The campaign is on day 14, which coincides with President Trump's first 100 days in office. The campaign believes in the power of action and is "driven not by political belief, but by belief in the human spirit."
So take action and be the change you wish to see in the world.
There's so much noise in the world right now and we're starting to think it's just trying to distract us from issues that matter.
This great PBS article reminded us why change from artists (those that live in their heart and soul) is so important! #ArtistsWillChangeTheWorld
